3BClean Legacy - remove metadata from all of your documents

The risk of leakage of information through metadata in office documents has been around for many years. Addressing the issue for current documents is not sufficient for the majority of businesses. With 3BClean Legacy 3BView helps you scrub all documents created in the past. It can also be used to remove metadata from a batch of documents, for example prior to them being burnt to CD.

Using the industrial strength 3BClean product at its heart, 3BClean Legacy is fast, scalable and extremely reliable.

Scrub metadata and create secure PDF

As well as scrubbing Microsoft Office files, 3BClean Legacy can convert all files to secure PDF once metadata has been removed.

How bulk metadata scrubbing works

3BClean runs on the server with the Legacy Utility, a small command line tool, running on a machine that has access to the documents to be cleaned. No integration work is required and the Legacy Utility has a few simple configuration options to identify the files to be cleaned, the amount of metadata to be scrubbed, and the output folder for the cleaned/converted files.

The Legacy Utility takes all files with the defined extensions and sends them to the 3BClean server to be cleaned. Cleaned/converted files are then placed into the output directory.

All Microsoft Office formats are supported

3BClean supports all Microsoft Office formats up to and including binary formats of Microsoft Office 2007.
